Parallel Topographies merges nature-inspired patterns with urban architectural elements, blurring the boundaries between reality and imagination, the organic and the artificial. Through dimensional mobiles crafted from repurposed materials, the artwork embodies the themes of obsolescence and ephemerality. Utilizing discarded materials like torn paper and cut plastic, Yaniv incorporates fragments from her own drawings, ink marks, and urban life photographs. These diverse elements undergo transformation, layering together to capture distinct moments in time and unveil new insights.
